Coal Mine

The mine has an impressive safety record and has won the group Chairman’s Safety Shield for its consistent improvement and the group CEO Safety Award for the best safety record of all group operations worldwide.
Required was a protection of the portal / entrance to the underground operation against rockfalls and masses of soil from erosion of the upper benches.

It was decided to install GBE-100A-R rockfall barriers; height is 2 meters, total barrier length of the five barriers is 461 meters.

• 4 GBE-100A-R, 120 m long
• 5 GBE-100A-R, 132 m long
