Initial situation

In 2012 the new Grand Prix race track Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, had to be equipped with a debris fence. A very tight schedule for design, production, and installation required the closest cooperation between all parties involved in the planning, approval, and installation. Within only six months, Geobrugg completed the design and delivery of materials required for the installation on site.

Description

The F.I.A. approved debris fence introduced a cable spacing of 50 cm in a Grade 1 installation for the first time. Due to our high tensile wire mesh, larger cable spacing became possible. These cables achieved a faster installation speed. Geobrugg completed the construction layout design, manufactured and supplied all materials on-site, and trained the local contractor to install the debris fence.
