Initial situation

In a section of Route 82, near the entrance of the Cacheuta tunnel N°1, rocks frequently fell on the road. These and landslides represented a danger for the traffic.

Description

Several systems of protection against rockfall and debris flow, as well as slope stabilization, were implemented.

Installed systems per section:
1a)  RXE-500: 4 meters high and 31 meters long
1b)  VX-060L: 4 meters high and 10 meters long
2)  RXE-500: 4 meters high and 24 meters long
3)  RXE-500 :4 meters high and 42 meters long
