Initial situation
On July 28th, 2014 the city center of Altstätten in Eastern Switzerland was flooded due to heavy rainfall and mudslide.
Description
A debris flow protection net in the upper course of the Brendenbach, immediately after a concrete barrier, was constructed as an immediate measure. The ring net lies right after a concrete barrier and retains alluvial wood and gravel.
