Ausgangslage
The new track, 913 meters in length, will be located in the endurance area, well known to the spectators of the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit and will include the famous Raidillon corner.
The spectacular ascent of the Raidillon and its 15 % gradient is followed by a hairpin bend, before hurtling back towards the legendary Eau Rouge corner. The show will also be taking place in the stadium, where the «banking» corner and the two «jumps» will allow the drivers take on various racing lines that are bound to result in a breathtaking spectacle.
Massnahme
Geobrugg was tasked with the turnkey solution to deliver the race circuit in terms of barriers and fencing. It included the construction layout design, barrier, and fence production as well as the implementation and the installation of all barriers and debris fence panels on site. Our solutions again proved to be flexible and fast to install.
Challenge: The main circuit was in operation till Thursday before the event and back in operation on Monday after the event. The barriers and fences along Eau Rouge could only be installed during night shifts.
Highlight: Our barrier system can cope with the 15% gradient of the Eau Rouge.
