This rockfall barrier at Železniki, Slovenia, held back a falling tree from going down the road. The incident shows that protection against falling rocks and falling trees is essential in wooded regions. The barrier in Slovenia is an RXI-025: 4 meters high, 48 meters long, year of installation 2008. The tree hit line 1 on the very left, see design below.
