FIA Debris Fences have been installed along race circuits to secure people from flying debris or stop cars in case of an impact.
To improve the existing systems, Geobrugg Security Engineering and Hermann Spengler GmbH & Co. KG developed - under supervision of FIA Institute - a new Debris Fence. This new FIA Debris Fence Spengler has been upgraded with Geobrugg's high- tensile steel wire mesh and thus increases the overall security along a race circuit with significant advantages:
- higher protection level compared to other systems
- modular system makes adjustments to individual race circuits possible
- combination of guardrail and FIA Debris Fence fixed in one single system
- fast installation
- temporary or permanent barrier
- easy exchange in case of damage
