The performance of Geobrugg security and safety systems is tested not just in the laboratory, as is often customary, but in 1:1 crash, projectile and loading tests, always according to customers’ special requirements. In addition, the performance parameters of all steel wire products are being regularly monitored by independent testing institutes.
Some examples of customer-specific tests:
- Projectile tests on armored vehicles for developing an effective protection against hollow charge projectiles (RPG-7)
- Projectile tests on special panels for protecting the underside of high-speed trains
- Crashtest with transporter for a border fence between the USA and Mexico
- Testing of a fixed security barrier for floating and fixed installations
