To evaluate the performance of the current Geobrugg Debris Fence and the new Geobrugg Debris Fence, several tests were performed at the independent and recognized Dynamic Test Center (DTC) in Vauffelin, Switzerland. All tests were perfomed under the supervision of the FIA Institute in accordance to the test specification of the FIA Institute.
The FIA Institute test specifications were:
- 780 kg test sphere
- 65 km/h
- 1.6 m and 2.5 m impact height
As a result, Geobrugg ROMBO high-tensile wire mesh was approved for Debris Fence installations by the FIA.
