TECCO® slope stabilization system and TECCO® pillars reinforce dam
The TECCO® slope stabilization system was used in combination with newly developed TECCO® pillars made from the same high-tensile wire mesh to reinforce the Besigheim dam in Germany against near-surface instabilities. While the TECCO® steel wire mesh provides the slope with reliable protection against erosion and instabilities, the stone-filled TECCO® pillars protect the foot of the dam against underwashing. In this project, the pillars have proven themselves to be a safe, secure and easy-to-install measure.

Flexible ring net barriers installed to hold back debris flow
Three flexible Geobrugg debris flow barriers made from high-tensile steel wire have been installed on the bed of the Riale Buffaga river in the municipality of Ronco sopra Ascona (Ticino, Switzerland). They were designed based on data from in-depth geomorphic and hydrodynamic investigations. The original plan involved the construction of concrete barriers; however, because of the aesthetic impact and high maintenance costs, this was not carried out.

Rockfall barrier as deflector protection
An almost vertical rockfall barrier protects an abutment from falling rock. Three additional central suspension cables reduce net deflection and allow to be diverted. For reasons of aesthetics and to preserve the surrounding countryside, a rockfall protection roof was out of the question.

Insertion instead of pressing: the new TECCO® connection clips
Our connection clips made from high-tensile steel wire allow TECCO® mesh panels to be linked without overlapping and still guarantee a one hundred percent transfer of forces, producing a uniform, homogeneous membrane. No additional tools are required for installation, as the connection clips can easily be inserted by hand.
