Tests showed that the barriers were only minimally deflected with a maximum event and maintained a residual useful height of 85% in the impact zone. Thanks to a logically planned overall construction with lightweight parts and easily installed individual components, TXI rockfall barriers can be installed with a minimal outlay of man-hours and cost.
AXI for 250 and 500 kJ: reinforced posts replace retaining ropes
We developed the AXI rock fall barriers for protective structures adjacent to (service) roads: they have reinforced posts which do away with the need for retaining ropes. The rigid AXI systems are also suitable for supporting walls, existing concrete structures or compacted rockfaces to which they can be simply mounted and anchored.
Both types of barrier satisfy the conditions of the guidelines of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment BAFU.
