TECCO® TXI-010 rockfall fence for impacts up to 100 kJ
The TECCO® TXI-010 rockfall protective fence for nominal energy up to 100 kJ with 6 - 12 m post spacing and 2 - 3 m structure height is shown with the TECCO® G80 mesh with 4 mm wire diameter. TECCO® wire has a nominal tensile strength of 1770 N/mm2 and an ultimate tensile strength of 190 kN/m. TECCO® mesh is supplied in rolls 15 or 30 m long. It is fastened to the top and bottom support ropes with 60 mm diameter HELIX springs. The lateral anchor ropes and the bottom support ropes are each equipped with one brake ring. Retaining ropes are not required. With 10 m post spacing, the net excursion is only 2.15 m for a rockfall event of maximum 100 kJ. With it's lightweight components, such a protective fence can be erected nearer to the object being protected, which saves on installation costs.
RXI-025 rockfall protective fence for impacts up to 250 kJ
The RXI-025 rockfall protective fence with 6 - 12 m post spacing and 2 - 3 m structure height is shown with the ROCCO® ring net having a 3 mm wire diameter and 350 mm ring diameter. The ROCCO® wire has a nominal tensile strength of 1770 N/mm2. The ROCCO® ring net is fastened to the top and bottom support ropes with 60 mm diameter HELIX springs. The lateral anchor ropes and the bottom support ropes are each equipped with one brake ring. With 10 m post spacing, the net excursion is 4.05 m for a rockfall event of maximum 250 kJ. Again, the protective fence can be erected nearer to the object being protected.
Both types of barriers were tested in accordance with the guidelines at 25 m/s and conform to the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN guidelines.
