Geobrugg rockfall barriers for mines are based on a much tried and tested technology that was further developed for use on berm benches in mines for rockfall events up to a nominal energy of 5000 kJ. The barriers are successfully 1:1 tested and certified in accordance with the Swiss Guidelines for rockfall net approvals. Thanks to wider post spacing, the installation times are short, and no specialized tools are needed. The barriers can be easily cleared out after a rockfall event, since no retaining ropes are used. The Geobrugg corrosion protection concept ensures that the barriers are very well protected against corrosion.
