In the SPIDER® light-weight construction avalanche structure, the support surface is formed by the SPIDER® spiral rope net, which is manufactured from 4 mm thick high-tensile steel wire with a tensile strength of min. 1770 N/mm2. The compressive forces arising from the snow are absorbed by the SPIDER® spiral rope net and transferred into the anchorage points via swivel posts and guy ropes. A selection of anchorage systems adapted to different soil types is available. This structure is suitable for snow thickness values of Dk 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 m.
